LFE's response to the coronavirus outbreak
By Lucinda Fredericks, Mar 19 2020 08:26PM
Here at LFE we are obviously disappointed not to be getting our eventing season underway, but are in no doubt that the health and welfare of our staff, owners, horses and of course the wider community is of the utmost priority. We are totally supportive of the difficult decisions that British Eventing and other equestrian organisations have had to make at this unprecedented time.
On the yard at Rosegarth we are in the process of deep cleaning everything, minimising movement and ensuring the safety of our team. While we are not competing we will be trying to keep positive and motivated, focusing on training - re-visiting basics that often get overlooked, experimenting with different exercises, and investing time with our apprentices and junior staff, helping them to practice bandaging, plaiting and turnout amongst other things.
Thinking back to the time we were on lockdown during the foot and mouth crisis we know first hand just how important it is to pull together, share, inspire and motivate one another, so we would love to find out what you will be doing, and if you have any questions or would like any advice please share your thoughts with us on social media.
We are thinking of everyone affected by the current situation and wish everyone the best of health. We will look forward to eventing again when it is safe to do so.
With much love,
