Joubert won the tough Open Novice u18 by 8 penalties after a super test and smooth double clear over an influential course. Ellie was definitely out to prove herself after her step off last week and it was great to have owner and breeder Bridget Hall there to see both Joubert and 5 year old Britannia's Cabaret compete. Head Girl Oceane Amans rode the lovely bay mare clear round their first BE100 and now go to Nunney 5 year old 100 class.

Ellie and Mandorior jumped yet another class confident double clear and only planned time faults XC put them down to 6th place.

A super day too for friends Kelly McCarthy-Maine and Phoebe Hughes who jumped 3 double clears between them.

Well done to the organisers - as usual, up to height SJ tracks and technical testing XC courses are always educational.

Ellie and Belaero came 2nd in their first ever Pony trial at Aston le Walls! I am so proud and delighted for them. Having just done the minimum requirements at BE90 and BE100 they produced a fantastic result on Saturday, with a perfect performance in all three phases - a beautiful 30.3 dressage, a foot-perfect SJ around a tough, up to height 1.10m track which caused many problems, followed by an easy, confident XC within the time. Belaero is truly the most delightful, professional, talented pony and has surpassed all our expectations. She is totally adorable and our assessment of her on that dark and dingy December afternoon was completely right. We feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to develop such a super pony. It's just such a shame we didn't find in time for Ellie to do FEI ponies with her, but when the time comes she will have a really exciting future with a younger, smaller rider.

The Dauntsey's School Equestrian 90 team had a successful Sunday at Stonar, winning the schools event and qualifying for the championships later this year.

Meanwhile, the rest of the LFE team were at Millfield where Bridget Hall's Britannia's Cabaret was a complete superstar with Oceane Amans, to achieve a brilliant 5th place in her first BE event, only missing the 3rd place due to being too quick XC! Another lovely Britannia's Mail progeny - watch out for this one!

Zoe Taylor-Jones was very happy with her own horse Billy Alberto, with a great double clear in the BE90.

Lucinda Fredericks is delighted to confirm a new two year sponsorship deal with SDL Solutions to use their Premium Horse Bedding products.

Lucinda commented "I have been amazed by the results of switching from traditional shavings to SDL Solutions' Premium Horse Bedding for my horses. Apart from being cost-effective, the pellets are considerably less dusty than any other product we have used, are quicker and easier to use and the beds stay cleaner for longer. We also have a smaller muck heap as a result. I would thoroughly recommend giving them a try."

SDL Solutions' horse bedding is a significantly more absorbent and hygienic option than other horse bedding materials used in stables. It has an incredibly low dust factor of 0.04% and provides continuous comfort for your horse. It is 100% sourced and manufactured in the UK and is BETA and ENplus accredited.

Director Sam Launchbury says "We are delighted that Lucinda has chosen to use our Premium Horse Bedding for her horses. She is a well-respected, world-class event rider and we are proud to be supporting her and her team."

What a fantastic weekend at Tweseldown! The organisers produced 4 super courses that held up in the bad weather which was great considering many other events had to be abandoned. And we were thrilled to see 3 LFE horses go double-clear - a great achievement for each of them.

Ellie was delighted with Mandorior who was calm and focused in all three phases of the 100u18 to finish in 4th place on his dressage score of 29.3 in a rather competitive section. It was a great start to give Mandorior a steady run before the u18 Open Novice class next week at Pontispool.

We couldn't have been happier with Belearo in her second 90 with Ellie to get a 30.5 in the dressage and an easy double-clear to come 2nd place, just 0.2 points behind the leader. She will now step up to the 100 at Pontispool on Sunday.

And it was great to finally see Oceane Amans and In Fashion Too come together. They jumped a super double-clear in their first event this year, proving that all their hard winter training has been worth the effort. They will compete in the 100 at Pontispool on Sunday.

Well done team, and a big thank you to our wonderful sponsors for their support.

We had a great day yesterday at the NSEA SJ Competition at West Wilts Equestrian Centre. My great team of Hattie, Alex and Maria helped us get the big blue lorry packed for the first time this year!

Sunfield Elspeth, Belaero, Mandorior and Britannia's Mail all looked amazing, thanks to The Pure Feed Company, and Ellie looked very smart in her Mark Todd Collection gear, Gatehouse hat, Freejump stirrups and Rodney Powell body protector.

Sunfield Elspeth's owner, Chris Emmett, came and supported me until Alex and Maria arrived in time for Mandorior and Britannia's Mail's classes. Sunfield Elspeth and the Dauntsey's Equestrian team finished 5th in a huge 85cm XC/SJ class and Belaero jumped a super clear in the 95 XC/SJ and just one pole at the second last in the 105 XC/SJ. We are really pleased with our new little pony!

Mandorior then did two confident rounds outside in the windy rain with a pole in the 1m (Ellie blamed herself) and went first in the 110cm and had the same pole down. We were still very happy considering it was his first SJ show since Bicton last October.

The best man came out last. Britannia's Mail jumped a perfect, fast, smooth clear in his only class to finish a very credible 4th in tough company. He really is so genuine, especially when the fillers under the last fence blew down on his approach and the two ring stewards were trying their best to sort them and everyone called out to stand back just in time for the coolest stallion to jump it confidently!

I was most pleased with Ellie who rode 6 rounds, 5 different courses and 4 completely different horses and stayed calm and focussed all day. Thank you to all our sponsors and thank you to the volunteer team at West Wilts EC for being so patient and helpful.
