Great results at Aston

It was a massive day last Friday at Aston Le Walls EC, with 6 horses, 2 lorries and a very early start. Special thanks must go to lovely Liz Hills who drove our second lorry at 4.30am so that Ellie didn’t have to drive as well as ride 5 horses. We really appreciate all of Liz’s help and support.

Homebreds Upsi Britannia and Upper Class Brit (Upsi & Daisy), and Britannia’s Bijou (Timmy) all jumped brilliantly with Ellie riding, with Daisy placing in her first Novice with a fabulous double clear. And a special well done to Timmy for standing amongst 3 mares throughout the day and still being able to focus on yet another good result. New resident Poppy had her first UK run with her lovely mare Lulu who had just arrived from Canada – a fantastic double clear for them. Well done!

Brilliant team work throughout the day meant that it all ran smoothly. Working Pupils Grace and Drew had all the horses at the right place at the right time with the right tack on, which believe it or not is not easy when you’re managing mares and a stallion!

We’re now looking ahead to an exciting weekend at Wellington.
