NSEA jumping with style

Our youngsters certainly did Jump with Style on Saturday at West Wilts Equestrian Centre!

5 year olds, pony stallion Britannia’s Bijou (Timmy) and Pure Britannia (Perdi) – daughter of Britannia’s Mail, ridden beautifully by Ellie Fredericks, impressed everyone in what was their first indoor event. Timmy was unsurprisingly a little green in the 90cm but jumped everything and we were just delighted that he learned from that round and jumped immaculately round the 100cm to win the class, with Perdi coming second. It was wonderful to hear so many compliments throughout the day about him and how well all of our horses looked.

Perdi enjoyed a play around the 90cm and pinged effortlessly around the 110cm to win it. She really is pretty cool for a 5 year old!

Both Timmy and Perdi are only just 5 this year but have got such rideability and lovely temperaments. It’s going to be exciting to see them progress this season.

To complete the Britannia’s Mail line-up (uncle and father to Timmy and Perdi respectively), his progeny Winterslow Wispawally, owned and ridden by pupil Hermes, jumped two lovely clear rounds.

And to top off the day Ellie’s new horse Coolrock Wanda came out and jumped a super clear round to come 2nd in the 110cm, just a little slower than Perdi.

It was a fantastic day – a beautifully run event with a really fair course using the space well. All credit to the organisers for building an indoor course that flowed so well.
