Ellie selected for Young Rider European Championships

I am absolutely delighted to announce that Ellie and Pure Trendsetter have been selected as part of the 6-strong British Eventing team for the Young Rider European Championships in Montelibretti, Italy between 13 – 17 September.

Owned by myself and Liz Hills, Pure Trendsetter was bought as a raw rising 6 year old that had done nothing. She has been carefully produced by Ellie over the last 2 years and together the pair have had numerous successes, including being selected for and competing at Le Lion 7 year old competition in 2022, and finishing 5th in the 8/9 year olds Advanced at Aston Le Walls recently. To have been selected for the Young Rider European Championships is a truly remarkable achievement for Ellie and Pure Trendsetter and testament to Ellie’s hard work, patience and determination.

Obviously I am super proud of Ellie and thrilled for the other team members also. It will be exciting to see them in action in Italy, if a little nerve-wrecking being a spectator this time – 38 years on from my own GB Young Rider European Championships experience!
