Welcome to the website of Lucinda Fredericks – Olympic Silver medallist and winner of Badminton, Burghley and Kentucky 5* events. Having retired from competitive riding Lucinda now enjoys sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience to help develop and support riders and horses at all levels.

Based in Wiltshire, Lucinda offers training, livery and breeding services from her magnificent stallion Britannia’s Mail.

“Myself and my horses benefit from regular training with Lucinda – both at day clinics in Holland and intensive residential training at Rosegarth in the run-up to an event. Lucinda never gives up – she is always searching for solutions, and with her experience she will find one for every problem. I always see an improvement in each of my horses after just a few sessions  – fine-tuning dressage, building our confidence XC and gaining experience cantering up hills to build strength. Lucinda has the ability to help you ride a winning test with a normal horse!”

“Lucinda really helped me improve my position – both SJ and XC – and we worked on upping the pace and adjustability of the canter. The team at Rosegarth were friendly and as an amateur I didn’t feel out of place. Lucinda really wanted me to improve and her lovely comments about my horse were so genuine.” Becky Thompson

“We initially came to Lucinda’s on a short-term schooling basis but we benefitted so much we didn’t leave!

When we started my daughter was just 13 so it was great that someone competent was always around so she could ride without her mother watching over her all the time. Now she is 18 she loves the social side and joins in training at home and at other venues.

With Lucinda’s experienced team able to provide individual care for our horse we can relax knowing that she is looked after and can be exercised – even at short notice.

Another bonus of livery at Rosegarth is that we have access to Lucinda’s experience and that of her vet, farrier, dentist, physio, Pure Feed Company and administrative support – all people we wouldn’t have such easy access to. For us it is worth committing a little more each month just to enable Sophie and Hebe to make the most of their time together.” Jo Flann

“We are so excited about Mrs Brown – our 3 yo Britannia’s Mail filly. She has an incredible, workmanlike temperament. Every day she shows just how clever, trainable and athletic she is. She has taken to her ‘work’ with some seriousness – she knows she has eventing royalty in her blood and is keen to do her family proud!”

I chose Marley to add a bit of bone, improve feet and even the temperament of my hot, sensitive Harlequin/Puissance mare. Nicely put together, with four hard-as-nails, correct, black feet, Mrs Brown couldn’t be a better combination of the two.” Kelly McCarthy-Maine

“My 5 yo is going brilliantly. He has had numerous placings during 2021 including 1st in his first BE90, 1st in the BE100 at Moreton Morrell and 5th in the 5yo class at Wellington International. He has a fantastic temperament and a lovely jump. He is one of the easiest horses I’ve had the pleasure of producing.” Greta Mason
