A busy weekend at Larkhill

We had a very busy weekend at Larkhill, with 8 horses from the LFE team across the three days.

It was a great success for Ellie’s 3 horses, with double-clears for all. NPS Milan (Maynard) excelled himself in the jumping phases so will now be stepping up to Novice at Cirencester and Kalico (owned by Cerys Foster) finished 2nd in the BE100 Open. She will now go on the market to find her perfect home as a SJ /Eventer as her owner is moving to a job in London after her final Uni exams.

We were delighted with 5yr old new girl and Britannia’s Mail progeny, Britannia’s Pleasure, who we’ve only had for a few weeks. She did her first event ever in the GoBE and finished 7th with a lovely double clear. We are so pleased with her progress and she thoroughly enjoyed her canter round Larkhill.

Our Working Pupils Mimi Jones, Sophie Bragge and Head Groom Liv Sewell all had educational runs, with a fantastic 3rd place for Liv in the BE100 Open on Poppy von Maltzahn’s MHF Lady and a top 20 finish for Mimi on her own Gacrois L’Aisy in his first ever Novice.

The event was excellent with three fabulous new XC courses on superb going, considering how dry it’s been. It was great to give the horses a good blast over Salisbury Plain. And a big thank you to the Larkhill team – everything ran in military style; on time, friendly, efficient and so many smiley faces!

We now head to Kelsall International next with Upper Class Brit and Upsi Britannia.
