Success at Larkhill

We had a great day at Larkhill Horse Trials on Saturday. Upsi Britannia got up to a few antics before the dressage, but he did settle down with Ellie and do a reasonable dressage before some super jumping SJ and XC, as always. It was fantastic for him to finish 8th in his first run of the season. Upsi Britannia will do a couple more Novices and is then aiming for the 2* at Chatsworth.
Yard Manager Robin had her first run in a year and a half, also in the Novice with Upper Class Brit (Daisy) and came back with a massive smile on her face having done a super dressage test. Robin admitted that she was rusty, and Daisy looked after her all the way round the XC. By the end they were both smiling and finished just outside the places. Upper Class Brit will hopefully do the same as full brother Upsi Britannia – a couple more Novices and then Chatsworth 2*.
Ellie then had a chance ride on Eve Stamper’s young mare Heras Nightingale (Hallie). The pair led from the start and finished on their dressage score of 28 to win the Open 90.
The team at Larkhill put on a brilliant event. The ground was superb, the re-vamped XC was excellent and very educational. All credit must go to the Royal Artillery team and all the volunteers at Larkhill Eventing. Thank you!
Upsi & Daisy are kitted out in The HUSK, Devoucoux, Salute Equestrian and powered by The Pure Feed Company.
Ellie wears Toggi Clothing, Gatehouse Hats & Foxy Equestrian.
