A WIN AT BICTON TO END THE SEASON!

It was definitely a proud moment as I cycled up the hill (out of breath!) to the finish of the XC hearing that Ellie Fredericks Equestrian and Pure Trendsetter had won their first International 2*! 

What an amazing end to an already great season, with our lovely Mandorior also jumping an immaculate, fast double clear to finish a very close 9th in the competitive section. 

It was fantastic to have part-owners Liz Hills and Chris Emmett with us to see our lovely 6 year old mare – bought from Matt Pike in Sussex a year ago – win at one of our favourite events. Ellie has done 95% of the work on both Pure Trendsetter and Mandorior (I only get the odd hack or flat school when I’m allowed!), so all credit to Ellie. 

Thank you Bicton International Horse Trials 2021 for yet another successful event. Great prizes, friendly team of organisers and volunteers, testing SJ and XC courses on great surfaces and ground, plus a fun party!
