Cornbury House Horse Trials
SECOND PLACE FOR ELLIE & Britannia’s Mail IN THE CCI3*-S YR AT Cornbury House Horse Trials!
It was a busy but worthwhile weekend for the LFE team, whizzing straight off to Cornbury House with Ellie Fredericks Equestrian and Britannia’s Mail after Saturday morning school.
Britannia’s Mail performed his best test yet, with a score of 33.4. The pair have been working hard on dressage, so this was a very pleasing result, especially given that there was only one sub-30 score in the whole section. Britannia’s Mail jumped his socks off in the SJ with just a small rider error for one pole, but an incredible clear XC well inside the time, despite being held on course due to a fall ahead, put the pair in 2nd place at the finish in what was only their second 3* event. We are totally thrilled for them and enjoyed hearing such positive comments about the pair from the commentators.
Pupil Ella Rowing Flanagan had a very successful first CCI3*-S with You Two Bill, achieving an effortless double clear, and well done too to Working Pupil Lottie Sims who had a super run on her lovely old boy schoolmaster Murphy May in the Open Novice.
Congratulations
to Britannia Royal and Sam Sweeney Eventing who placed 6th in the Intermediate with a great double-clear. It was fantastic to see two of Brit’s sons, both stallions, placed at the same event!
And thank you to the Cornbury House organisers and to Youth British Eventing for such a brilliant event.
