Results for the team at Aston & Tweseldown

We had a busy week, starting at Aston Le Walls EC for Ellie and Pure Trendsetter in the CCI-S3*. Trendy and Ellie looked really confident, and achieved a double-clear with just a little time as they had planned to take it steady, after a good dressage test. They will have another quiet run at Upton this week.
We were back at Aston again on Saturday for the third day in a row, with four horses.
Livery horse Diarado’s Daughter (Scarlett) and Ellie did a beautiful dressage test for 22 in the Novice, followed by a clear SJ. The XC was rather testing, with Scarlett at the last minute deciding she wasn’t going to jump the coffin ditch. Ellie did an amazing job of staying on, getting over it on the second try and finishing the course to finish 21st.
Working Pupil Drew Munro and Darling Van Overis Z (Teke) had another successful run, with a lovely double clear to finish 14th in the Novice. But it was Upper Class Brit (Daisy) who stole the show, winning her Novice section with Ellie on her dressage score! She will go to Aston again in 10 days’ time before stepping up to 2* at Burgham.
On Sunday Ellie had the pleasure of riding Sarah Ulph’s lovely Cool Ice (Ozzy) in the BE100 at Tweseldown. At 18.3h he is quite a different ride! They could have won but Ellie, having only ridden him once before over the Winter, took it steady to finish 5th, giving Ozzy a nice, confident run while Sarah recovers from an injury. We will look forward to seeing Sarah back on board soon.
Working Pupil Liv Sewell had a good run in the BE90 on her own Churchminster Grey (Blue) and Sophie Bragge (also a working pupil) and Argentinus Roulette (Roo) did brilliantly to finish 10th in the BE100 on their dressage score. Well done girls!
We now have another four days on the trot, with the LFE team at Upton and Barbury. Everyone has worked so hard in the last few weeks – both the team at home and those travelling. I am so grateful for everyone’s support. And of course always grateful to our sponsors for helping to keep us and the horses looking smart, staying safe and in top condition.
